DNA & RNA is genetic material that makes up all living organisms, controlling their function, development, growth, and reproduction. UV light produces electromagnetic energy that can destroy the ability of pathogens like viruses and bacteria to reproduce. The ultraviolet energy triggers the formation of specific thymine or cytosine dimers in DNA and uracil dimers in RNA, which causes inactivation of microbes by causing pathogen cell death and failure to reproduce.

254 nm wavelength UV-C. UV-C is most traditionally referred to as germicidal UV due to its ability to kill bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi.
-
The UV Breeze M600 has been designed to contain all of the UV dosage within the unit. When operated properly, the M600’s 254 nm UV light will not damage eyes or skin. A soft non-UV light emanates from the inlet and discharge of the unit and it is not harmful.

The abbreviation for Cubic Feet per Minute is a measurement of volumetric flow rate. One cubic foot can hold about 7.5 gallons of milk. The M600 flows 600 cubic feet per minute or 4,500 gallons per minute and can inactivate 99.9% of coronavirus flowing through.
-
CADR is the Clean Air Delivery Rate and it is calculated by multiplying the effectiveness of the device by the volumetric flow rate. Since the M600 is at least 92% effective against airborne pathogens like SARS-Cov-2 at 900 CFM, the CADR can be calculated by multiplying 0.92 x 900 CFM = 828 CFM. This means for every 900 Cubic Feet of Air pushed through the M600, 828 Cubic Feet are SARS-CoV-2 free (Also, 828 CFM = 1406 Cubic Meters per Hour).
-
The clean air delivery rate (CADR) is a figure of merit, a quantity used to characterize the performance of a device, relative to its alternatives. It is important to remember the M600 CADR is relative to airborne pathogens susceptible to UV. Typical CADR is relative to dust, pollen and smoke which the M600’s filters help remove but the intent of the M600 is to combat airborne pathogens over typical pollutants. When comparing CADR of UV devices, ensure the number is relative to the inactivation of airborne pathogens and not just dust, pollen and smoke.
-
The M600 is best used in rooms as large as 30 foot by 30 foot with a 10 foot ceiling where people will gather together and pose a risk of spreading airborne pathogens like the coronavirus. Places such as Restaurants, Hospitals, Schools, etc. Larger rooms may require a number of M600 units. Please consult with UV Breeze on the appropriate number of units for your space.
-
Yes. The “M” in M600 stands for mobile. The unit sits on four 4” NSF-rated hospital grade casters.
-
The frame and paneling is aluminum and can be easily cleaned and maintained while reducing the weight of the unit for easier mobility.
-
The M600 produces 46 dB of noise three feet from the inlet/discharge. 40 dB is a quiet library and 50 dB is moderate rainfall.
