Schools & Universities

Providing safer, cleaner air for students has been the foundation for creating the M600. Education is paramount for our future and our goal is to help keep those places of learning open and operating.

The M600 flows 600 CFM and produces about 54dB of white noise, about the volume of an exhaust fan. At 600 CFM, a 30’ x 30’ room’s air is turned over every 15 minutes. The efficacy testing completed at Purdue University used a continuous source of SARS-CoV-2 surrogate and the M600 inactivated 1-log per pass. This means in an hour, the M600 would inactivate 99.99% of SARS-CoV-2 present at the beginning of that hour. Likewise, the M600 will provide a constant 90% protection level when students are in the room, continuously coughing. When used with other preventative measures, like masks, the learning environment will pose a much smaller risk of transmission. The 254nm UV used within the M600 inactivates more than just SARS-CoV-2, but any pathogen susceptible to UV such as Influenza A.

Not only does this protect students against airborne pathogens but also reduces the need to expand the school or universities current HVAC system. Combining the standard HVAC system and the M600 typically produces 6 to 7 air changes per hour which meets the ASHRAE and CDC guidelines.
